i should have taken evasive action!
i meant before, i couldn't have taken your knight right away, because it would have exposed me to a back-rank mate from your rook.. that's what took me by surprise! but then after i made that escape square for my king, that's what made the difference
i was hoping beyond hope that you HADNT see that. you see, i had I gotten that rook in, you would have had two moves to put your rooks in the way, delaying the inevitable checkmate. i had all these zombie pictures and clever 'you dont even know you're dead yet" subject lines ready. dang!
